The main objectives as the driving forces of our work were: - The training of the leadership and teachers of our organization, in order to be able to identify in time the students who need mental empowerment, by incorporating new methods and modern practices (meetings, collaborations, workshops, groups) as well as evaluations for an overall assessment of actions to achieve the goals. - Specialized practical training of our teachers, to learn proven techniques and experiential methods, in order to be effective in managing negative emotions, reducing stress, achieving mental balance, especially for students and teachers. We believe that it is of major importance for our school to meet its basic needs so that we can achieve our strategic goals and the vision of the school with the final recipient being every student. We believe that it is an investment in building a generation of mentally resilient European citizens for years to come.
The 1st Primary School of Alexandria has made the European project "Sturdy Soul", a central priority. The idea was born out of the needs of the school itself and its teachers, to escape the context of its traditional role. Having a consistent European orientation, it has to redefine the concept of school education and culture. Our school is a vibrant organization that interacts with its external environment and continually strives to enhance educational, methodological and administrative strategies. It also seeks to introduce innovative programs, actions and expand partnerships with institutions and schools both internally and externally. At the same time, however, there is a need to maintain its role in an evolving environment and to open itself to the European and international horizons. It is true that one of the most important challenges the Greek society is facing is to improve the mental resilience of both students and citizens. A quality personalized educational approach is the goal and the school must achieve its goal by placing greater emphasis on participatory and innovative learning processes. However, recognizing and improving "mental resilience" is probably the best investment an organization can make, especially a school unit that wants to get through situations and become an important role model.
