Objectives

The goals that we set and wanted to achieve were: •The need to strengthen the motivation of our students by implementing innovative and attractive teaching methods that focus on the students themselves and help them acquire the ability to analyze, evaluate, compose, and argue. •The need to prepare, support and facilitate students to acquire long-term, broad and in-depth learning - active, synthetic. •The need for a more qualitative operation of our school by improving its administrative and educational function. •The opening up to the European school community and the need for our educators to overcome their reluctance to participate more actively in European projects. •The need for professional and personal empowerment both of the management and the educators.

Background

Our school, within the framework of our yearly reflection and collective planning procedures (using the SWOT method), sought new ways of work that would make it more qualitative and effective. Our decision was to create a "positive educational atmosphere" and to ensure appropriate "learning situations" with the aim of encouraging, challenging, and facilitating each student's individual and collective participation in the learning process. Τhis stimulated us to seek channels of communication and cooperation with our peers from other countries. Therefore, we applied for this mobility project in order to: • learn about new educational models and adopt good practices to cultivate a more attractive learning environment. • learn about successful school management and organization systems, • create bonds with educators from other countries to strengthen the European dimension of our school and its belonging to a broader educational and cultural environment.
