Background

In Geniko Lykeio Akrotiriou we have set the goal of enhancing our teaching methods with the integration of ICT in the learning process as well as strengthening the digital literacy of our students. This project was planned to improve the quality of our provided work and to harmonize the school’s procedures with the needs and the requirements of the modern era. There is great diversity in the social and educational background of our students (a significant percentage pertains to children of rural families and another percentage involves children of middle-class families). There are also students of immigrant origin, and some others are bilingual (children of officers or academics) while a small number οf our students are of refugee origin. Apart from that, those ones who have been diagnosed with learning disabilities, are examined orally or with the use of alternative forms of examination. Therefore, inclusive education, the integration of ICT/multimedia in the educational process and internationalization are a strong necessity for our school.
