Our school faces many challenges, mainly from the ever-changing social and educational environment whilst the area of activity and operation of our school is becoming more and more international. Students come from various economic, social, and ethnic backgrounds. Significant is the large number of students from rural and farming families in the mountains who often assist in their parents' work. There are students from Greece, India, Pakistan, Syria, England, Italy, France, Albania, and Bulgaria. In addition to economic immigrants, Greek immigrants have migrated to our region due to the labor needs in the tourism sector. The challenges thus, emerge from everyday concern mainly the cultivation of an open, equal, and non-critical learning environment through an experiential and emotional experience for the student and the functional incorporation of integration practices. To meet these challenges, school teachers in collaboration with the entire school community and the Parent-Teacher αssociation have set the goal of identifying and adopting new Educational Methods and implementing innovative and effective Pedagogical Approaches. Participation in transnational activities and networks shall indeed be a powerful tool that can lead to the achievement of these objectives, that is the acquisition of specialized knowledge and skills, the global knowledge of everyday practical issues, and generally curricula that apply to corresponding schools in the European Union. Participating in transnational actions will eventually allow our school teachers to feel part of the wider European Educational Community
