By implementing the project our organisation wished to achieve: a. On the one hand, fair, inclusive education, on the other, a form of education that is aware of and reflects on the social changes that take place and integrates into the curriculum the required professional skills and abilities to empower students’ professional and social life. Also, create appropriate learning settings that benefit students and allow them to reach their full potential; take into consideration their different backgrounds and through appropriate learning approaches help them build their self esteem, and thus, their personal and professional development. b. European dimension in our education by expanding the already existing cooperation with other European schools and by promoting multilingualism and the development of digital skills, which are necessary in order to conduct such projects. c. Intercultural education, in order to promote common European values in parallel with national values, respect for other cultural groups and the importance of internationalism rather than nationalism.
The aims of this project coincide with the general aims of the Music School of Kastoria for continuous educational development of the teachers, so that they will: a. become acquainted with innovative, inclusive teaching approaches and techniques. b. get in touch, connect and develop networks with teachers allover Europe, and through e-Twinning and Erasmus+ collaborations exchange views and good teaching practices. c. get to know other European civilizations and impart the gained intercultural knowledge to the students they teach.
