Objectives

Our main objective is to have new experiences and innovative practices through the use of modern technology by simultaneously enhancing our own skills. Moreover, we aim to evolve and update the teaching methods we have implemented while teaching, as well as to constantly improve ourselves as professional educators within the European framework. Specifically, we aspire that our project has a positive impact in our attempt to achieve the following: Development of collaboration, resourcefulness and ingenuity by means of both traditional methods and contemporary technological advances. Training in designing innovative educational activities Training in the use of teaching techniques based on the interdisciplinary educational approach. Acquisition of new skills in the digital learning field of science (gamification, use of ICT , collaborative learning) Creation of ready-to-use materials and applications available for class use. Improvement of language communication skills Experience of intercultural ways of learning Encounter with European paradigms of educational systems and approaches to teaching. Improvement of our school profile.

Background

The main reason for applying was for us to meet the needs of our school community, the main of which are the following: It is important that the younger teachers in our school are able to apply new and innovative teaching methods, since they are highly specialized and skilled in terms of using new technology. The older teachers, who are less able to cope with new technology should be able to acquire adequate skills so that they gradually make use of it when teaching. To educate the staff on how to use educational software applicable to teaching as well as to students’ evaluation. To experience exchange of ideas and good practices with the colleagues from other participant countries as far as class management is concerned, thus enabling our students to benefit from the teaching process as much as possible. We aim for our staff to obtain a global view of the educational paradigm enhancing its European dimension at the same time.
