Background

Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), a medically complex condition, has historically been associated with high mortality rates. However, today in high-income countries, SCI may be seen less as the end of a productive life and more as a personal and social challenge that can successfully overcome. In our country, the recognition of the importance of the appropriate and timely treatment of incidents with SCI, gradually led to the creation of specialized clinics in public hospitals, but also several private ones rehabilitation centers. However, this niche health market has several shortcomings specialties and especially to nursing assistants and occupational therapists. The 1st EPA.L of Dafni, taking into account all the above, implemented this action plan wanting the apprentices to obtain more complete information about the subject of the plan in the context of their preparation as future health professionals.
