Background

Pre-school education is considered an institution that reflects society and the image of citizens, and a cornerstone in the formation of future active citizens who, like any other area of economic and cultural development, can give impetus to society. Today, pre-school education achieves its goals through the operation of pre-school educational institutions, which are mainly kindergartens. The kindergartens is the space where the child has the opportunity to lay the foundations to develop physically, emotionally, mentally and socially and to be in an environment that provides them with security and protection. However, to achieve all this, the kindergartens must have proper organization, a variety of activities for all ages and the application of modern pedagogical approaches. All this should be organized and coordinated by well-trained and qualified employees. In our area, in the provincial town of Orestiada, where many young families settle due to professional obligations (security, border guards, army), there is a great demand for , municipal and private. Consequently, there is a need for suitably qualified staff, such as childcare assistants, with up-to-date knowledge and skills. A direct consequence of this is the large number of students (boys and girls) who choose to study this subject in our school unit. Following to the above, we proposed the implementation of a project entitled: "PRACTICAL EXERCISE IN CHILDREN'S CENTRAL - NEW PEDAGOGICAL APPROACHES TO PRESCHOOL EDUCATION" for 14 students of the 2nd and 3rd grade in the Department of Health, Welfare and Wellness/ specialty of Nursing Assistants, in order to do a internship in the city of Rimini, Italy, at kindergartens.
