Our goals concern both the trainers and the trainees of our IEK. The more specific goals for the mentor trainers are the fact that they will have the opportunity to increase their self-knowledge and self-understanding, to connect and communicate better with the trainees, but also to gain more confidence and commitment at work. Their main mission will be the activation of both the trainees and the system of IEK Piraeus as well as the successful implementation of the new models related to goal achievement. Regarding our trainees, we would say that the goals are: • the acquisition of certified knowledge and practical skills in thematic units related to their specialty, • the familiarization of the trainees with the methodology of developing new and innovative business. • Improving behavior and cooperation, in real working conditions in Europe • encouraging them to take a business step • the improvement of social skills and abilities • the comparison of the working conditions of Greece with other countries • the possibility of finding work in an EU country. • strengthening the European dimension of initial vocational training and cultivating cooperative relations with foreign organizations • understanding of lifelong learning and training • improving language skills and increasing their intercultural awareness. • communication of European actions and EU values • Improving career prospects while increasing a sense of initiative and entrepreneurship • Improving the quality of innovation and internationalization in the field of education and training, in particular through the cooperation of partner countries.
The main concern and the option for the long term commitment strategy of the management of DIEK Piraeus are determined by the needs of the educational organization for: a) full exploitation of the possibilities offered by the new technologies through the utilization of modern management and business planning tools, b) continuous updating and enrichment of the curriculum adapted to the new data c) ensuring direct contact with the international market and d) adoption of an extrovert educational policy with common orientation regarding the actions of the European Union and in particular, the opportunity given to us by ERASMUS + program with many rewarding benefits. The main goal of the management of IEK Piraeus is through the mobility of instructors and trainees of our IEK, on the one hand, to benefit the participants themselves. On the other hand, the educational organization to get to know the culture, values and new practices as expressed in the field of collaboration, action and creation in vocational education and training and to manage new challenges through the critical adoption of practices in EU member states.
