Creativity Beyond Borders -Youth Exchange was implemented in the difficult times of Covid19 under the general strategy framework of "Kids In Action", cooperating with organisations from Europe to combat social exclusion and promotion of equal participation for all. The youth exchange project came as a follow up of a very successful youth exchange project that we have implemented in the past, which has been described as good practice and has been included in the "List of good practices 2016-2018 "published by the Hellenic Erasmus + National Agency. The Creativity Beyond Borders youth exchange invited young people with and without disabilities, young people facing social, economic, cultural, educational and geographical difficulties to coexist, co-operate and co-create though creative workshops and applications of non-formal learning methodologies. The special feature of this project was the interaction of young people with and without disabilities in a context that included cooperation in artistic, recreational and athletic activities and educational workshops. CBB activities and workshops were designed in line with the European Youth Strategy and the European Youth Goals and more specifically with European Goal 3 "INCLUSIVE SOCIETES" according to which: "One third of young people in Europe are at risk of poverty and social exclusion. Many do not have access to their social rights. Many continue to face discrimination, experience prejudice and hate crimes. New migratory phenomena brought several social and inclusion challenges. Therefore, it is crucial to work towards the fulfillment of the rights of all young people in Europe, including the most marginalized and excluded." Creating an inclusive society that still preserves its cultural heritage requires a change in our attitude in society so that marginalized groups can develop a sense of "belonging" and general tolerance, acceptance and reduced fear. The greater integration requires more interaction between communities and marginalized young people in social level, so that they could have a greater role in culture, sports and civil society. Inspired by the European Youth Strategy 2019-2027 and the European Youth Goals, guided by the experience of similar projects we have implemented in the past and excited by the impact of those projects on young people from different cultural, geographical or social environment, we decided to design with our partners the CBB whose main purpose was to ensure that a safe space was provided for opportuities, experiences, to provide equal access for all young people participating in European youth mobilities, building a society based on European values and European identity. This main aim of us emerged after the pandemic breakout. We believe that the above aim was achieved in a high percentage through the specific objectives we have set for this project and which are: - Coexistence of young people with or without disabilities. - Understanding the difficulties faced by people with disabilities in their daily lives. - Provide safe space, opportunities and resources to foster dialogue and social cohesion, and combat discrimination and segregation - Exchange of experiences and good practices when working with young people with disabilities in EU countries - Use of alternative forms of art (circus, creative instalation, video, photography, dance, music), creative sport activities and entertainment for people with disabilities. - Development and strengthening of skills in care, rehabilitation and social inclusion. - Integrating marginalized communities into a multicultural society. - Integration of the basic principles of the European Disability Strategy (2010-2020), of the European Youth Strategy and European Objectives for Youth (2019-2027) - Facilitate and ensure the integration of all young people in society. Ensure that all young people have equal access to formal and non-formal learning environments, addressing all the dimensions of inclusion. The above objectives are in full compliance with the objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme as they are oriented towards the support of the participants in terms of achieving learning results for the purpose of their personal development and evolution. Also through the challenges that we faced due to pandemic in implementing the project but also because of the challenges that all young people have faced during this difficult period, we felt certain while implementing the project, about its need and we realised how much the cooperation between partners have been strengthened by increasing their capabilities, their European and international dimension.
