Objectives

With this project, we intended to address a few different needs of European youth - to be an active player in a labor market, to create better social impact, to learn about other cultures, and to benefit from digitalization. Our training course was intended to address some of the most prominent social issues European youth face today by offering a whole new array of possibilities by teaching them how to boost social impact, decrease unemployment and promote cultural awareness. We believe this topic is important because it comes from the needs of our peers- digitalization nowadays affects all the spheres of life and to be an active player in society we need to adjust to it and take advantage of all the benefits it gives. We wanted to implement this project in order to use it as a tool to achieve the realization of our objectives. We wanted to improve the situation with the three existing problems nowadays, which are: 1. The high unemployment rate around the world. In the EU, according to Eurostat, the unemployment rate was 6,3% at the end of 2019. The situation with youth unemployment in the EU is significantly worse - in November 2019, the seasonally adjusted youth unemployment rate in the EU was at 17,3 %, reaching 33% in some countries. The significant reasons for youth unemployment are lack of skills and qualifications, geographical obstacles, socio-cultural difficulties, and cyclical and frictional causes. 2. Lack of visibility of youth social initiatives - there are a lot of great and useful projects done by youth. Still, the impact is not massive enough due to poorly done promotion and dissemination. 3. Social exclusion and cultural isolation are burning issues, unfortunately. Our partners and our organization work with a lot of youngsters with fewer opportunities, whose obstacles are caused by migration and cultural borders between people inhabiting the territory of the EU. Our objectives were: - To raise awareness about the development of technology, digital media in particular, and how it affects the labor market. - To acquire and train a particular set of skills needed to work and succeed using Instagram, to learn about new jobs available there. - To gain techniques of transparent and engaging influential blogging. - To promote social youth initiatives via Instagram. - To train how to better share the knowledge gained at this TC in local communities. - To boost cultural awareness and promote social inclusion. - To highlight the main principles of the Erasmus+ Program and demonstrate a wide range of opportunities it is giving today.
