Objectives

We wanted to offer our students teaching opportunities outside the classroom in our environment that are different from what they have been doing since Primary, and, given that our teaching staff did not know the necessary tools or the process that should be followed to develop this type of class, We believed that training in this was necessary. We also wanted to learn from the Finnish school Helsingin Uusi Yhteiskoulu for the good reputation of education in their country and the good results of their students in the PISA reports. In this school we have two solid contacts (teacher Snesana Valtchanova and Erasmus + coordinator Erja Rantanen) and we believed in an opportunity for our school to be able to learn first-hand about their team teaching, their assessment practices, their identification of roles, their pedagogy and their language teaching (in this school Spanish is also taught)

Background

The project has been requested in order to cover some training needs of our school. The initial project contemplated a greater number of structured courses, however we would not comply with the principle of proportionality of activities A1 and A2. Therefore, the A2 are reduced. Even so, the main reason why the project was requested has remained intact: the use of new teaching methodologies that will allow our students to develop more meaningful learning, in which they themselves are an active part of their own learning.
