The main objective is to implement, through learning by observation, new tools and resources that allow the improvement of the communicative competence of students, as well as emulating any example of good practices from other European centers. Consequently, we established three fields of analysis through which to make improvements and which constitute the objectives specified in the application: - The encouragement of students towards reading as a source of pleasure and knowledge from all the subject. - The use of innovative and dynamic methodologies that favor academic performance. - The integration of new technologies in teaching practice as elements of motivation towards learning. All this to contribute to the adequate development of communicative competence, an element that we consider essential to access any area of knowledge, and essential to guarantee school success.
The main reason is because many of the shortcomings of the students of the IES Geneto are due to an inadequate linguistic competence and from the Department of Spanish Language and Literature we consider, with the support of the management team and the faculty, that we could improve it through a project of these characteristics, observing and learning from the tools and resources of other European centers. That is the main objective of this project, since the failure rates in the subjects taught increase every year due to the progressive deterioration in the comprehension and expression, both oral and written, of our students, despite the fact that the improvement of this competence has been and is a strategic objective in the IES Geneto for several years and it is included as a relevant aspect in both, the Educational Proyect of the center and the Didactic Annual Programme.
