The for main goals have been the following: -To foster European and international dimension of the school with complementary activities to be developed in class. - To increase the quality and innovation of teaching practice through the collaboration with other countries. - To introduce innovative tools and methodologies in our daily teaching practice. -To improve the teachers' communicative competence in foreign languages.
Our school is in strong need of the following: attention to bilingual students and those students with different learning paces. That is why, we consider as something essential to learn innovative and motivating methodology that helps us to cover the students' needs, and trying to avoid, in that way, early school leaving rates. -Inclusive methodology: For students with different learning paces and social and educational disadvantages. These strategies contribute to reduce the differences among students (new spaces, Project based learning, Cooperative work...) -Foreign Language Teaching: As a second language and as language of communication in other subjects. The teachers of those subjects taught in a foreign language need training and specific tools to adapt their own methodology to cover the students' learning needs. In addition, foreign language teachers need strategies to help those students whose knowledge of the foreign language is increasing and demand innovative resources in class. - Fostering international cooperation: teachers' life-long learning is strongly needed, both through learning courses and through the knowledge of other educational contexts within the European Union, by job-shadowing exchange projects.
