Objectives

This project has been created for the purpose of continuing an educational style that has been shaped throughout these years and that has influenced both teachers and students, considering themselves as part of that European reality. Our final aim is to continue enriching the European dimension of our school by providing the teachers with the best formative activities so that they can improve their professional and linguistic competences. This will result in a noticeable improvement of our students' competences. The specific aims have been: - To continue helping the teachers to bring themselves up to date with the last didactic methodologies used in the European countries that are considered to have the best educational approaches. This can help us to improve our teaching-learning spaces, the diversity outreach as well as the management of time and assessment procedures by paying attention to the key competences. - To improve the linguistic skills in foreign languages of more and more teachers in our school. - To imbue all the educational community members with the European vision of our educational task in which European values such as equality, respect and tolerance have a great importance.

Background

After having participated in different European projects throughout the years we have applied for a new one considering this as a logical evolution. This means that what it could be occasional activities at the beginning, it has turned into regular international activities related to our European Development Plan. Our school has been gradually absorbing the European culture. The title: "An open way to Europe: creating new opportunities for our school", comes from a background where the activities related to the Erasmus programme have been established as the cornerstone of our school. That is why we have decided to keep on implementing the internationalization of our school thanks to international teaching training activities where we can participate in the everyday life of well-known European schools, meeting teachers coming from other schools inside the European Union and opening ours to other educational practitioners. This way, we hope to widen our alliances in order to make an impact in our students' competences providing them with new formative opportunities.
