Background

DOMUS, a school located in the province of Valencia, has an educational offer that covers from 3 to 18 years of age. The students are distributed between Early Childhood Education, Primary, and Secondary Education. The idea of the project “I.R.E.L.A.N.D.” is born from the verification that in the national educational panorama there are a series of deficiencies, among which a low command of English stands out, both on the part of the students and on the part of the teaching staff, which leads to a deterioration in the capacity of educational institutions. DOMUS has been embarking on a path of educational development for years, which is reflected in its effort to keep its training offer constantly updated, adapting new teaching systems and methodologies. This mission is what has driven their participation in several European mobility projects. For these reasons DOMUS, carrying out the activities of the I.R.E.L.A.N.D. project sought to address and improve the poor skills in the use of the English language.
