The objectives we aspired to achieve with the project at hand are as follows: - Obtain the maximum number of qualified teachers to actively participate in the center's internationalization plan. We needed our teaching staff to update their skills in new technologies and be able to handle student mobility or observation visits effectively. - Observe in order to improve and update the early childhood and primary stages by implementing more innovative methodologies that support the development of strategies for students to learn competently. - Acquire strategies for enhancing student and staff motivation and engagement within the center. - Establish connections with institutions that share our center's interests for future collaborations. - Consolidate active participation in international projects by students, staff, families, and local and international institutions, emphasizing the center's multicultural character.
We initiated this project in 2020 to strengthen our internationalization efforts and the professional development of our center's staff. At that time, we had clear training needs, both in the English language and in innovation and robotics. We also aimed to launch projects that prioritized student mobility, and having well-trained staff facilitated the organization of such mobilities, in addition to becoming a host center for them in the future. Furthermore, the observation periods at two European centers had two different areas of focus. Visiting the Polish center would allow us to enhance the quality of the early childhood education stage, while the visit to the French center, which finally became a Slovenian school, would expose us to the good practices they implement in the primary education stage.
