Our objective was to raise awareness of the need to introduce ecology and respect for the environment as a transversal theme through our educational plans, using the specific material of each of the teachers as the vehicle. Apply new learning scenarios, through interdisciplinary activities outside the school and taking advantage of the multiple possibilities that the nature of our center offers us, favoring respect for it. Learn the principles of non-formal education, within the context of blended and project-based learning. Value and the effects of climate change will be known, as well as the solutions to stop it and adapt to it in our school environment. Improve the school culture to promote sustainable development, raising awareness about the problems that affect the environment on which we all depend. Introduce learning strategies in nature, learning to work with it to improve the environment, developing work skills as a team and sharing experiences with other cultures. It will develop awareness of the importance of preserving clean water and preventing its contamination.
The areas susceptible to improvement with reference to the objectives of our project, detailed in the following point are the following: 1. Climate change: more information and awareness is needed on practical measures to avoid, prevent and raise awareness about climate change. 2. Healthy lifestyle habits: we have detected a problem in lifestyle habits in a part of the students that generates problems such as obesity, attention deficit, stress and depression. 3. Education in nature: we have a center with large garden areas and most of the Knowledge is imparted in the classroom. We want to improve this aspect and use nature as a tool for learning. 4. Eco-sustainable center: we have verified that we could improve the use of water, energy and waste management as well as the forms of transportation to our center. To improve our ecological footprint.
