Objectives

Once we agreed on our needs that could be fulfilled through the training of our teachers, we gathered our aims in the following four categories: Coexistence improvement and students’ inclusion (attention to diversity). We wanted to keep our training regarding this aspect and observe other schools’ projects to better attend diversity and help improve the coexistence at our school. Training in innovative methodologies through jobshadowing, also to attend our students’ diversity, promote their motivation and improve their academic performance. Raising awareness regarding healthy habits and ecology through the whole educational community (families, teachers and students), so our students are aware of the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle and its relation with the environment. Last but not least, our school wished to follow our path towards a European dimension and internationalization, sustainable along the years.

Background

We applied for this project in order to keep on working on Erasmus+ projects, although changing the aims and widening our objectives. The Erasmus+ coordinator had to leave and the team made for this project thought we should continue and widen our internationalization process. We thought that the best way to do that could be through a training project to raise European awareness and train at the same time our teachers in several aspects that we needed to improve according to the needs we identified. Besides, we reckoned that this project would improve our teachers’ motivation to keep on working and innovating at our school, a school with so many special needs, where it is not always easy to work. This way, we started a process to identify our needs through meetings and school documents’ research to get to our four main objectives of training included in our project.
