To carry out this project, we had the following objectives: - Improve teacher training in innovative methodologies, due to the fact that we need to have updated teachers in educational approaches focused on the needs and learning styles of students. Thus, we have job shadows and structured courses. - Improve the linguistic and intercultural training of teachers to continue offering a quality CLIL program in which to incorporate new teachers to expand our participation in school exchanges within the Erasmus+ program. This was achieved thanks to job shadows and structured courses to improve linguistic competence. - Share experiences with other European centers by carrying out job shadows or teaching periods abroad, both to exchange good practices and to be able to take a critical look at our educational system and assess both the positive and negative aspects. Likewise, these mobilities serve as a forum for exchanging impressions of our teaching activity and as a seed to establish future international cooperation.
Our project is mainly focused on three aspects: teacher training through structured courses, job shadows and teaching periods. The participants have been teachers of foreign languages (English, French, German and Italian); members of the school board ; teachers from CLIL or Bachibac programme, and those teachers who need to improve their language skills to join CLIL. With this project, we wanted to insist on a series of objectives that could be implemented both in the center and in the individual professional activity of each teacher. On the other hand, by attending structured training courses, we would like the participating teachers to receive training that they could also apply in the teaching-learning process. It is intended that all this training and skills are also reverted to the center, which will serve to critically assess our teaching practices and our educational reality. The sustainability of the learning and acquired skills will also mean a turning point in the international vision of the center on the part of the teaching staff and the importance of training in foreign languages.
