We wanted to give a solution to misused spaces in our school and to use them to attend the diversity among our students. At the same time, they can be used for cultural, recreational and sport activities. We also wanted to continue learning innovative methodologies to promote inclusión, being these spaces new ssttings for those activities. We wanted to create spaces to work on respect for the environment. They would serve as inspiration to be shared with other foreign students and teachers through future projects, bigger or smaller than this one. These objectives that we set ourselves (attention to diverse students, promotion of inclusion and equality, respect for the environment and promotion of the development of an awareness of European citizenship) are part of those marked in the European Development Plan, which we take as a reference.
This project was requested as a follow-up of previous Erasmus+ projects that dealt with aspects such as improving coexistence among students, gender equality or the protection of the surrounding environment. The teachers who have been part of it had previously received training on new methodologies that focused on these aspects. However, we wanted to apply this learning to create new spaces in our school, spaces which we consider that require new ideas to be improved and to be used as meeting places, in order to promote cooperative learning and respectful relationships.
