Objectives

It is time to strongly train teachers in NICTs, programming and robotics to prepare students for the fourth industrial revolution. This has been reached through the achievement of the stated objectives: 1 Advance the international dimension of the school 2 Promote knowledge and implementation of new methodologies 3 Improve educational equity and social inclusion 4 Use NICT to increase students' motivation to actively participate in their own learning process Through the courses, teachers have learned new methodologies and resources to promote practical activities related to real contexts, which motivate students to deepen their learning in a more creative and autonomous way. Through observation activities they have learned how to use them in the classroom in different sociocultural contexts. In this way, gender equality is promoted and greater opportunities for labor integration are given to the most vulnerable groups. The teachers have also improved their communication skills in English and have deepened their knowledge of the culture of other countries. In addition, we have established contacts so that students participate in new Erasmus+ projects.

Background

Our school, IES Eras de Renueva, has extensive experience in participating in European projects and we know of the enormous advantages of carrying out training in other countries, both through structured courses to expand specific knowledge, and through observation activities which allow teachers to learn about other methodologies and resources to implement the knowledge acquired in the classroom and share experiences with other colleagues. In this way, the training received by a small number of teachers has an impact on the quality of the whole school's teaching. Technological advancement is increasingly accelerating and most job profiles have to be transformed. We want to reinforce attention to the diversity of students according to their educational, cultural and linguistic needs and transform teaching to adapt to this progress and new job demands. To achieve this, it is necessary to train teachers to facilitate student learning through new subjects related to technological changes and guide them in the use of NICT in a responsible, autonomous and creative manner.
