- Learning new methodologies applied to the English language teaching as a second language, in a motivating and active manner if possible, working with the Linguistic Competence (CCL). - To know the work of other European schools in these spaces so we can improve our teaching practice, handling the Iniciative and Entrepeneurship competence (IEE). - To increase our students' motivation towards learning, making accountable its importance, with the Learning to learn competence (AA). - Provide an international foque in our school to respond our students, each time more globalised, with the Conscience and cultural expressions competence (CEC). - Work on their emotions identification and their management, working the Social and civic competences (CSC). - Fight school absence through collaboration with families, opening the school and the motivation for students, dealing with Social and civic competences as well (CSC). - Ease the family integration with our school's new incorporation, through an active participation, also working with Social and civic competences (CSC).
In our institution we have been Erasmus+ projects beneficiaries for some years now and we have been able to change the reality of our school step by step, together with other educational projects. In year 2018 we were awarded with a Comunidad de Madrid's Innovation grant for our own Innovation Project. In this project we wanted to change some of the spaces in our school. Due to it, some rooms were transformed into a Games Room, a Radio Room, an Emotions Room, a Cinema-Theatree-Creativity Room and Active Playgrounds. This project was handed to help the implementation of these spaces in our teaching practice. The aim was to take part into courses involving this type of spaces or to contact institutions, mainly schools, used to work on this kind of rooms and techniques. Therefore, we would observe not only our needs in order to work, but also other useful aspects to bear in mind that other point of views could enrich our educational experience.
