Objectives

The formation that the teachers participating in the program have received has allowed them to improve their teaching task, consequently benefiting their students. In addition, female students were encouraged to participate in the scientific and technical fields, stimulating their choice of scientific or technological optional subjects. Also it was seeked to progressively attain a deeper knowledge of robotics and programming on part of the students. Finally, as several non linguistic subjects are taught in English at our highschool, participating teachers improve their confidence in their teaching by by achieving a higher competence in the language.

Background

This project originated due to the need to implement and/or improve new contents and methodologies by the teaching staff. Methodologies which are adapted to the social and educational reality. The knowledge and implementation of these new approaches in the educational context will lead us to offer our students a better learning experience. As a consequence, this will allow them to develop their potential fully, therefore avoiding failure. In order to achieve this, several formations have been carried out within the project regarding CLIL methodologies, linguistic performance (specific language courses), robotic courses (programming with Arduino, Apps development) and STEM courses on cooperation between different school areas staff.
