The objectives we set out to achieve revolve around three main topics: EUROPEANIZATION. We intend to gain awareness of the wide diversity in the EU, thus improving our communication skills. We will also build a network of contacts with other European teachers in order to implement future learning activities within the European framework (eTwinning, Erasmus+). NEW METHODOLOGIES. Through observation and by doing different training activities, we intend to open our teaching practice to new methodological scopes: gamification, STEAM, etc. ITC and DIGITALIZATION. Through these courses we intend to gain new abilities and learn how to use online open digital resources. Our aim is to find digital learning platforms with an interdisciplinary scope within a collaborative environment among different educational establishments, including students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We will learn to create ready materials, practical ideas and current applications. This will allow us to offer full school support, promote universal access to education, creating an atmosphere of confidence and trust in the use of ICT through the personal development of professional competencies.
Our school has always been a model institution in our area, being the only one covering the stage of Non-Compulsory Secondary Education for a long time. Therefore, the staff has always been both steady and committed, very proficient in their respective fields of knowledge. However, it is now apparent that our focus on teaching calls for immediate methodological renewal, involving the use of IT in the classroom, promoting creativity among students, widening the scope of teaching throughout the different subjects to non-formal approaches as well as fostering the idea of European citizenship. Mobilities will give us the opportunity to establish a network of contacts with other European schools. Besides, it will enable our staff to improve their command of foreign languages. Both these actions are key in achieving a wider European dimension for our school.
