Objectives

This project aims to contribute prestige and value to our organization, increasing the educational quality of the center and the educational practices of the classrooms. Internationalization is a differentiating feature compared to the other centers of our town, which have the advantage of being located within the urban center and in buildings much newer than ours. The internationalization of our center and the practices and methodologies acquired make our institute attractive. Another aim of this project was to make contacts with other European centers to begin carrying out mobilities with students and KA2 cooperation projects with other centers. It was also intended to involve and motivate our teachers with the Erasmus activity, also managing to increase their linguistic competence and acquire new methodologies to implement in the classroom and increase the motivation of our students. It was also intended to start an etwinning project in our centre, something that has also been achieved in the area of the second foreign language, French. This has also increased the level of motivation of our students, reaching a level of enthusiasm and involvement.

Background

This project has been requested as a way to get started in Erasmus+ in the school sector, since our only experience was in the Higher Education Sector. In this way we have been able to define an Erasmus Plan in our center and thanks to the teachers mobilities carried out in this project, we have started to make some contacts with other European partners. One of the main objectives of this project is the internationalization of our institute, due to the location far from the capitals, our educational community has strong local roots. Another objective is to increase the linguistic competence of teachers to improve, reinforce and promote the center's Plurilingual Plan. And finally, training and learning innovative methodologies that allow us to increase the motivation of our students. In fact, various CLIL and PBL courses have been carried out focused on this objective. Language courses have also been held for various teachers from the English department and some non-linguistic areas. Furthermore, the Job Shadowing carried out has allowed us to get to know other European centers, enriching us in our daily work and being able to apply observed techniques and methodologies.
