Objectives

The stated objectives were: - Improve the language skills of teachers. Achieving this objective is the starting point for improving students' linguistic competence and motivation towards studying languages. - To improve the teaching staff's methodology. By obtaining new resources for their application in the classroom, they wanted to achieve two other objectives, one is to motivate students towards learning, and as a consequence of this, it was also expected to reduce the degree of absenteeism that a part of the student body presented. In relation to this objective, it was also desired to increase innovative practices through digital media, as well as to obtain greater resources and skills with which to pay attention to diversity. - To promote European citizenship. Being ours a small town, the implementation of the European programs translates into a way of being in contact with other organizations similar to ours, and in an approach to events and changes that happen outside our borders. - To improve the organization and management of the school. It is important to achieve a suitable environment for teaching practice and learning, as well as for greater motivation.

Background

The request for the project is due to the need to improve, at the level of competence and organization and management, our school, looking for inspiration from other European organizations and knowledge for it. The previous experience of our organization in the European programs has served to take a very important step forward in organizational, methodological and motivational aspects, both for students and for teachers. For this reason we consider the Erasmus+ program as the ideal framework to continue advancing in modernity and internationalization of our school. Society itself demands that we modernize all these aspects (organizational and improvement of the teaching staff's competences) in order to bring the daily life of schools closer to that of other European counterparts; this gains special importance in small towns and which, due to their socio-economic situation and geographical location, they are a bit far from many of the advances that have been taking place in the European environment. With all this, it was expected to increase the degree of motivation of teachers and students. as a reflection of this, that will help to improve our school globally.
