The project is focused on covering the following needs we consider important to deal with as well as on the challenges we would like to achieve: - To continue training teachers in digital competence, in the use of new technologies and their implementation in the teaching practice in order to reach an appropriate level of competence in relation to the demands of today´ s Europe. - To promote the teaching and learning of foreign languages and improve the linguistic competence of teachers and students. - To complete the school's European Projects programme in countries whose languages are learnt at our school (English, French and German) and to strengthen contact with schools for future students exchanges. - To consolidate mobility as an important tool for personal and professional growth, strengthening the feeling of belonging to Europe and the knowledge of other cultures through teachers and students mobilities to Finland, Malta, Greece, France, Germany and Slovenia.
San Francisco de Asís School is a state- subsided school which covers the stages of Infant, Primary and Secondary Education. The purpose and commitment of the school to the educational community (parents and students) is to maintain training and life long learning by the teaching team in order to offer a quality education adapted to the new methodologies and approaches and to the challenges of the new society and world. The bilingualism and the teaching of second foreign languages (French and German) are promoted in our school. The school also takes part in the "Digital Centres" programme, bringing the implementation of new technologies into the classroom and encouraging the students from the very early ages to use them. Our school has been involved in Erasmus projects since 2018, participating in teacher training and student mobility projects. In 2021 our school was awarded with the Erasmus Accreditation and since then mobility activities for students have been carried out. The reason for applying for this KA101 project was to keep our teaching staff up to date and motivated in the use of new methodologies as well as to continue our participation in European projects for a positive contribution to our students.
