When the center's European Projects Driving Team was formed in the 2019-20 academic year, its European Development Plan was created. Thanks to the project and after many hours of work, we considered it essential to present the Erasmus+ TIC Talk Learn - TIC Talk Teach project proposal. Based on the European Development Plan, we set the following project objectives: 1.-Internationalization of the educational community. 2.-Improvement of the faculty's competence in English at two levels: a) Improve the quality of teaching in English through CLIL training for teachers. b) Reduce the percentage of teachers without accreditation and improve the level of the existing ones. 3.-Development of new materials (methodological proposals, video tutorials, etc.) applying the knowledge acquired in the structured courses. 4.-Implementation of new ICT tools and innovative methodological proposals in all compulsory subjects of the first cycle of ESO from 2021. This objective was changed due to the pandemic to the year 2022. 5.-Incorporation of the professors of the faculty to a sustainable institute project with concrete actions in all the courses.
IES Pablo Sarasate is a small high school near the Ebro River. When we applied for this project the number of students enrolled in the center was 310, of which 32% belong to ethnic minorities, mostly of North African origin, being French their mother tongue. In addition, the English Learning Program (PAI) was going to be implemented two academic years later. We already had extensive experience in projects: 1.-Participation in the Erasmus + KA101 project in 2015. 2.-Bilingual Section, implemented in our high school since 2007-2008. 3.-Language exchange programme with France, United Kingdom or Ireland. 4.-Participation in the following programs and projects within the framework of the Center's Educational Program that helped us to choose the structured courses for our teachers: - Proeducar-Hezigarri: educational methodologies and strategies to achieve school success. - Digital transformation that promotes the use of digital technology in our classroom. The IES Pablo Sarasate then decided to promote its internationalization and, supported by the school principal and the faculty, the Center's European Projects Driving Team was created, which drafted the proposal: TIC Talk Learn - TIC Talk Teach, which was finally accepted.
