Objectives

To gain first-hand knowledge of the different uses of methodological and personal resources in other centres, and to improve the competence of teachers of common subjects in the care of pupils with educational support needs, disadvantaged classes and immigrants. Similarly, the aim is for both teaching staff and pupils to make progress in foreign language skills. In particular, the aim is to improve the linguistic competence of DNL teachers. In addition, the aim is to learn from the methodology of language teaching in Europe and to update and improve the use of ICT and new technologies, promoting their use by our teachers and students, and their digital competence from an international perspective. Another key objective of this project is to study and analyse methods and tools for motivating common subjects in diversification programmes. And finally, to enhance the European dimension of our school, promoting its international openness.

Background

IES Universidad Laboral is a center with a clear interest in internationalization and interculturalism, open to international activities that provide professional and personal enrichment to students and teachers, and ultimately to the educational community. Students and teachers participate in activities that promote contacts with other countries, expanding their linguistic competence and valuing cultural differences. The school has a long history of participation in school partnerships Comenius, Comenius (MAC), former Erasmus and Leonardo (PAP) and Comenius Regio association. It has also carried out KA101, KA102, KA103 and KA229 projects. It has also maintained regular school exchanges of ESO students with schools in France, the United Kingdom and Germany. The center has been collaborating in Erasmus + mobilities of foreign students in Toledo. And it has offered support to teachers participating in jobshadowing mobilities and structured courses, recognized since 2016-17 with the Europass certificate. The project is developed to fill gaps in the training processes and promote the European dimension of teachers, students and ultimately the center itself.
