Objectives

Thanks to this project it has been possible to develop the following objectives among the teaching staff and participating schools: -Improvement of language skills in English language at the level of teachers, and, therefore, of the whole participating educational community. -Methodological updating based on CLIL, taking into account the needs of the pupils, especially those with educational needs for whom some kind of adaptation is necessary. -Improving motivation and job satisfaction, through a deeper knowledge of other educational realities as well as a linguistic improvement by transferring teachers to a real context. -Deeper knowledge of Erasmus+ programmes, making future connections to establish internationalisation programmes in schools. -Better understanding of social, linguistic and cultural diversity responsibility, promoting useful training activities for this purpose. -Development of key competences among teachers. -Improved professional and personal development opportunities for both teachers and their students, who are the ultimate beneficiaries of the experience.

Background

This project arises from the firm commitment of the Regional Ministry of Education, providing teachers with opportunities for linguistic and methodological updating based on CLIL, and since the implementation of the Foreign Language Teaching System, it is committed to providing students with more trained professionals helping them to acquire and master a second language. The quality of the foreign language teaching system, as well as a deeper knowledge of other educational realities, establishes connections at different levels, creating a network of motivated teachers involved in teaching which will undoubtedly have repercussions at regional level. The internationalisation of schools and the implicit opportunity to be able to develop training courses in a real context that takes teachers on an immersion experience, provides a broader vision of teaching practice. These, among others, are some of the objectives for which this project has been requested.
