After analyzing the imminent need to train teachers in the field of theatre and audiovisual communication and all the resources that the different institutions could provide to subsequently be able to apply this knowledge and make it available to the entire educational community. We set the following objectives: Objective 1 (To create in the center a framework of pleasant coexistence among the members of the educational community). - To develop an interdisciplinary global project. - To encourage pupils to work cooperatively: everyone is co-responsible for their learning and classmates. - To improve the social cohesion of the center. Objective 2 (To create intellectual concerns so pupils enjoy study and research, involving them in self-regulation and taking responsibility for learning to improve self-esteem and positive emotions). - To involve students in their teaching-learning process. - To promote the essential personal competencies of autonomy, self-esteem, tolerance, responsibility, commitment, and empathy... through collective projects. - Develop tasks to achieve personal learning and ensure that the group reaches this learning. Objective 3 (To reflect on the different realities of their immediate environment, thus promoting solidarity and social commitment). - To make a global diagnosis of the reality of our center, thus detecting students with fewer resources. - Motivate and encourage the project by raising awareness and empathy in the educational community. - To look for different strategies to help improve the circumstances of the possible cases detected.
For several years our school, IES Antonio Gala, has been part of Escuela Espacio de Paz and is included in the Innicia Project, which aims to promote entrepreneurship in its three dimensions: personal, social, and productive, thus encouraging creative thinking and knowledge and entrepreneurial initiatives throughout the educational community. As part of this Innicia project, the school works together yearly with the other secondary school in Alhaurín el Grande in a solidarity play. It also traditionally prepares an inter-school Classical Olympics with all its paraphernalia (history, costumes, historical rigor, etc.). Several years ago, as part of the Management Project, a television channel was created which broadcasts on Youtube and in which pupils from the whole school participate. All these projects were made from the enthusiasm and effort of several participants in the Erasmus project, but with little training in the fields of theatre and audiovisual communication. In fact, among the teachers involved in the project management, one of the colleagues has been directing a theatre company of teachers and students since 2014 and is also in charge of the television project. After several meetings with the Innicia and Espacio de Paz groups, it was considered vital to have proper training in theatre and audiovisual communication to improve yearly.
