Objectives

We had three main objectives in mind under the overarching idea of pedagogical renewal. Firstly, our initial goal was to combat school dropout and provide quality education based on the implementation of new methodologies, such as Project-Based Learning or the Flipped Classroom. Secondly, we wanted to observe how other schools operated not only in terms of project-based work but also in the application of new technologies, such as using the Google environment and Chromebooks in the classroom. Another objective was to promote the inclusion of students from different races, nationalities, cultures, religions, offering them quality education and striving to meet their needs. Finally, consistent with the completion of two more KA1 and KA2 projects related to our privileged natural environment and our concern for the environment, our aim was to promote activities related to our geographical surroundings.

Background

The title of our project is Open Paths (Camins Oberts), and it is considered a natural continuation of the two previous projects carried out at the center under a similar name: a KA01 project called Camins Oberts (2018/20) and a KA229 project called "Open paths towards a sustainable future. Youth awareness and actions through Agenda 2030 (2019/22)." Due to the pandemic, the activities had to be adjusted to the reality we had to live. Therefore, the mobilities had to take place at the end of the 21-22 academic year. The final result was 8 mobilities: 4 training courses and 2 Job Shadowing. The main objective we pursued was a pedagogical renewal in our center, as a certain number of teachers expressed their concerns about the need for training that went beyond our borders, training at the European level. Due to our trajectory and experience in KA1 and KA2 programs, we want to continue with training at the European level. Additionally, we have been building strong and lasting relationships with some centers, such as the two participating centers in Denmark and Finland.
