With the implementation of this project, our school planned: - To provide all teachers with training related to the teaching and care of students with special educational needs, especially ASD students, with the goal of improving their related skills. - To implement strategies to avoid social exclusion of students with special educational needs, especially ASD, both in the school and in the future. - To provide support to students with special educational needs to continue their studies thus avoiding early school leaving. - To improve teaching methodologies in all the subjects, modernizing them for achieving that they are more in line with the challenges of the present and future society and acquiring knowledge about the implementation of CLIL activities. - To expand the scope of the center's internationalization process to the entire educational community. - To share the acquired knowledge in eTwinning with the community in general and with a handbook in relation to the attention to the students with special needs.
The reasons our institution decided to request this project are improving the teaching methodologies, languages skills and knowledge acquisition. Regarding the steering group, improving the knowledge in management to face the organizational problems to assist properly the special needs students such as the learning spaces, the pedagogical attention, and family involvement. With regard to the physical education department, improving the teacher's methodologies, skills and tools to use in class the sport and physical activity to achieve the inclusion of all the students. As for the psychopedagogy department, improving the practical application of their knowledge in the reality of the class. Taking into account all the departments of the school, improving the teaching practices for giving better attention to special educational needs students. Finally, regardint the educative community, raising awareness of the need to give comprehensive and quality care for students with special educational needs.
