Our Project will contribute to achieving the following objectives of Secondary Education within the framework of our educational system: 1. To develop innovative teaching methodologies, including cooperative learning, interdisciplinary projects, the use of information and communication technologies (ICT), as well as the practice of inclusive education in the classroom. 2. Base teaching practice on ongoing teacher training, educational innovation and the evaluation of teaching practice itself. 3. To develop teaching materials oriented towards teaching and learning based on the acquisition of competences. 4. Use Valencian, Spanish and foreign languages as vehicular languages of instruction, valuing the communicative possibilities of all of them.
This project was conceived because we want to achieve a structural and sustainable change in the school. This change began to take shape in the 2016/17 academic year when we designed our ISIA Innovation Plan (Santa Pola Institute Innovates and Advances) with the main objective of adapting the teaching-learning processes to the challenges of education in the current century. This Plan grows and changes every school year to adapt to the needs of our students and improve their educational results, being the basis of it the training of our teachers. Hence the need to train part of our teachers through Erasmus+ Programmes, as these provide added value to other training, the European dimension of education. Getting to know other educational systems, other cultures and sharing innovative experiences with other teachers will enrich our training process and contribute to structural change lasting over time.
