Priority objectives: - Train and prepare teachers for the change from school to institute-school with the aim of responding to the growing diversity of our students in a way that improves educational success; for this it was and is necessary to update the didactic and methodological proposals in the classrooms. - Ensure that our educational center is considered a reference in the application of information and communication technology as the basis for the acquisition of student skills, consolidating and increasing the ICT and robotics projects that were already being developed. - Strengthen the teaching and learning of a foreign language as a firm commitment to multilingualism, in line with the trajectory of the school since 1998.
Our center faced three major challenges: a) In the 2021-22 academic year, Escola Santa Anna became the Institut Escola Santa Anna. The process will be completed in the 2024-25 academic year when the entire mandatory stage is reached. This process of change demanded a very high management requirement that resulted in a need to train the management team and the coordinators through courses abroad that would provide us with knowledge of various organization and management models. b) In the 2019-2020 academic year, the school received an extraordinary ICT endowment within the Digital Transformation project of the Department of Education. The project concluded its three-year deployment in the 2021-2022 year and during the period specialized training in this field was needed for the teaching team, which was included as one of the objectives of the Erasmus project. c) The management team was renewed in July 2020. In the new management project, the lines of work were marked out for four courses, from 2020 to 2024. Teacher training for teaching English is one of the priority objectives, for therefore, developing a European teacher training project was very appropriate.
