The main objectives of IES Hispanidad in this KA101 project could be summarized as: 1. Improving the quality of our school as well as its local and regional prestige. IES Hispanidad faces the challenge of being competitive and attracting students, both from Santa Fe (a town where population growth is lower than in other towns in the metropolitan area), as well as towns in the surrounding area. 2. Improving the foreign language level of our students and teachers, especially the teachers and students of the bilingual programme, as we are aware of the need for competence in English both from an academic and work point of view. 3. Establishing a network of European contacts to work on real or virtual projects and enriching the requirements of our teaching experience, language level and educational system in general. 4. Improving the teaching competence of the teaching staff and implementing innovative methodologies that motivate both our students and the teaching staff themselves. 5. Reducing the numbers of absenteeism and school failure by making our teachers more competent and our school more attractive and innovative. 6. Improving the competence and management skills of the school management board through contact with other European schools and teacher training at an international level. 7. Improving the skills of the school management board through the exchange of good practices in the educational centers and training.
IES Hispanidad is a school located in the metropolitan area of Granada and receives a wide variety of students in terms of their socioeconomic level, so its educational offer wants to respond to this heterogeneity. Likewise, the school seeks to offer quality teaching that motivates students and enriches them through active methodologies, the exchange of good practices, the involvement of the educational community, the learning of foreign languages and internationalization. Through the activities of the project: courses and job shadowing, an attempt has been made to respond to the needs of a committed teacher who attends this type of student and we believe that the result could not have been more satisfactory.
