Objectives

Through the implementation of this project we wanted to achieve the following aspects: - To give students and staff the opportunity to carry out international mobility for learning or training purposes. - To boost the internationalisation of our school, establishing long-lasting and stable relationships with VET centres in other European countries, European companies and promoting the exchange of methodologies and knowledge. - To modernise and enrich the skills and competences of the members of our school, especially linguistic, social and civic and entrepreneurial skills. - To promote the knowledge and use of foreign languages. - To promote a desire for internationalisation among the companies in our environment. - To connect companies in our local environment with international companies offering the same or similar services in order to facilitate communication. - Promote European values among students and staff. Values such as freedom, equality or democracy that are in line with those we promote from the centre. - To promote the knowledge and application of the Erasmus+ programme among the students and teaching staff of the centre, as well as among their families and acquaintances.

Background

The reasons why we submitted this project were the following: - There were few mobility opportunities for students from our school in relation to the total number of students. - There was insufficient collaboration between our school and workplaces in foreign countries. - We have a small number of students (2% per year) who have studied or done an internship in a foreign country. - Low integration in the Spanish and international labour market of students from our school. - Low knowledge of the situation of vocational education in other European countries. - The companies around us in Mataró have a low orientation towards internationalisation. - The majority of the school's students and staff do not have sufficient knowledge of foreign languages. - The people who belong to the school are unaware of the existence of opportunities to study or work abroad. - The school's student body, specifically vocational students, have a low interest in European programmes at the educational level. - Low awareness of the Erasmus+ programme.
