Background

Institut Pedraforca is a high school located in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona). Currently, it has 112 teachers and 1100 students, 80% of whom come from abroad. We offer ESO, Bachillerato, PFI-PIP, FP Básica, and Vocational studies in the fields of Health sciences, Transportation and Automotive, and Personal Image. In our Vocational Training programs (VET), we offer an added value in companies’ placements. For this reason, we actively participate in various programs such as Catskills, Dual Vocational Training, InnovaFP, and EnprènFP. We are committed to internationalization through various programs, including Erasmus+, GEP (Plurilingual Generation), Etwinning, 'FP & EOIs Together,' 'Promotion of Foreign Languages in Vocational Training', and the 'Foreign Language Knowledge Certification Program.' European mobility programs are an excellent chance for our students to broaden their formative experiences and their professional qualification while developing their linguistic and social skills, all of which is paramount in a socioeconomic environment that hinders job opportunities. In the process, we improve teachers’ engagement in our internationalization program and foster exchanges of good practices among European schools.
