What our wood and furniture department wanted to achieve by carrying out the Erasmus+ project is to increase the European feeling in our students and to improve their employability on their return. Statistics tell us that students who participate in the project have a higher employment rate. This experience is very positive but also hard for them, boys and girls coming mostly from disadvantaged backgrounds, so we also aim to increase their self-esteem, to make them feel confident about their professional capacity and their resources as people.
We, who already have a proven experience in the Erasmus+ project, realise that the fact of developing the Erasmus+ project every yearmakes our students more aware of the European environment in which we live. Their participation in the project increases their maturity, gives them the opportunity to discover new cultures and even new or different ways of working. In short, we apply for the project to improve the lives of our students.
