Specifically, in the case of students, the aim has been to improve their language skills and European values by interacting with students from the partner school both in the school itself and in the partner companies, to strengthen their self-management skills and self-esteem when faced with an unfamiliar situation, as well as to motivate them to participate in longer internships in international companies. In the case of the teaching staff, the objectives are twofold. On the one hand, the observation of the teaching methodologies and the educational curriculum taught by the centre in the respective professional branches to which the aforementioned teaching staff belong. On the other hand, the understanding of how the German dual system works and how it organises and verifies the participation of the three intervening entities (company, Chamber of Commerce and training centre) in the achievement of the students' professional competences.
Difficulties have been detected in the motivation of students to participate in internships in foreign companies due to their lack of security and fear of the unknown. This is why short-term placements create opportunities to get to know other countries and to face their fear by developing their self-management skills (making their daily plan, organising their transfer to the school and company...) as well as their social skills (communication with students and employees of the host centre...) as well as their social skills (communication with students of the host partner...). On the other hand, some departments (Mechanics and Maintenance) wanted to know more about the role of the teaching staff in the German dual system, both academically and in terms of coordination between the school and the company and the verification of the students' achievement of the competences.
