Objectives

Through these mobilities, some of the objectives foreseen in the European Development Plan have been achieved, although it is an ongoing process that is encompassed beyond this particular project. • The process of internationalization of our center continues its path, not renouncing to continue participating with mobilities despite the difficulties of these last two years. Demonstrating its capacity and international attractiveness. • Provide our learners with real training/practical experiences in a European environment. Getting that 90% are currently studying, higher levels or inserted in the labor market. • Improve the linguistic competence in Italian or English of the participants. • Increase in the participants the awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries, have built networks of international contacts. • Strengthen synergies and transitions between formal education, non-formal education, vocational training, employment and entrepreneurship.

Background

The IES Pérez Galdós, continues in its process of internationalization, more if possible, once it has been recognized as an ECIE ambassador center. Giving the opportunity to our educational community to participate in European mobilities has become intrinsic to our training offer. Our center is in one of the outermost regions, therefore it is more necessary, if possible, to approach the rest of Europe and share their experiences to enrich us with its diversity, get to know each other better and strengthen ties of cooperation for the benefit of all. A globalized world like the current one, in constant labor and social change, needs the participation of the centers to provide another way of being and doing. In addition, it is necessary to be equated with other European teachings and the business and social demand that is required. We want to transcend the limitations of living in an archipelago, promoting opportunities for learning, training, cooperation and communication between our students, teachers and the European business world. A project like this, in which we can give the opportunity to participate to students from disadvantaged backgrounds or close to school dropout, fills us with pride and satisfaction.
