The main objective was to promote the participation of students from the 3 VET families in the Erasmus+ mobility programmes. Traditionally we had carried out mobility with a HE, and as part of the internationalization plan of our school, we set out to give all middle-grade students the opportunity to enhance their personal, professional and international skills by locating themselves in a new and different environment in many ways. We understand adaptability and acceptance of difference as a necessary skill to succeed in the global working world. It is a profile of students who in most cases have not traveled abroad, much less alone, which meant an important challenge and the return has been very gratifying, even more since some mobilities have not been free of certain problems because of a not highly responsible partner. As the internationalization plan has grown with this project, a new structuring of the mobility coordination has been necessary, transformed into a more global coordination, of internationalization, and the creation of a teaching staff committee to be able to better manage all the objectives, the timing, the activities and the documentation that it entails.
Our school offers VET diplomas related to the hospitality industry: Cuisine and Gastronomy, Bakery, Pastry and Confectionery, Catering Services and Basic VET. Communicative competence in foreign languages is essential in this field, as well as quality professionalization to improve employability and adaptability to the environment. The Erasmus+ program offers the real possibility of strengthening these needs and also of developing the international skills of students in a globalized world. Students can choose to find better jobs, at the same time that we open the doors to learn about other ways of organizing work processes in companies and thus to adaptability to the ever-changing environment, and this fact benefits both students and students. accompanying teachers, and has an impact on our organization by rewarding the talent and willingness of the most dedicated students, incorporating significant learning experiences, impregnating teachers with the possibilities for professional improvement that Erasmus+ facilitates, improving the curriculum of the participants, and establishing new links with other organizations.
