Our objectives in the field of European cooperation, both now and in the long term, are: - to promote European values in accordance with the Treaty on European Union - improve the level of skills and key competences of our trainees - to promote the internationalisation of our organisation by fostering collaboration between our educational institution with vocational training centres in Germany - to enhance the international dimension of vocational training, thus increasing the attractiveness of dual vocational training in Spain (established by Royal Decree 1529/2012) - to improve the teaching and learning of the German language and to raise awareness of the working culture in Germany - to provide participants with recognition and validation of the competences acquired by means of an official European certificate (Europass) With the realization of this project we wanted to improve the professional and intercultural competences, especially with the work culture in Germany and the linguistic competences of our students. In addition, we wanted to increase the attractiveness, image and dissemination of dual vocational training and our educational institution in Spain with this Erasmus+ project.
FEDA Madrid, as a German School of Vocational Training in Spain, exclusively offers dual training courses for Commercial Activities Technicians, Hotel and Catering Technicians and Business Management Technicians in the branches of Industry, Transport/Logistics and Foreign Trade. We work mostly with multinational training companies that choose us as a school partner in the training of their apprentices, because we guarantee a dual training that is directly adopted to the needs of the companies both on a technical level and on a level of language teaching as well as social and personal skills. Training companies and the labour market require an internationalisation of dual training that guarantees work flexibility and openness to a European spirit among their future employees. Our organisation corresponds to this need with a European Development Plan including mobilities for dual vocational training trainees in our school curriculum. Furthermore, we apply for job-shadowing mobilities for teaching staff in our project in order to strengthen their didactic competences in the field of German language teaching for young professionals in dual VET classes.
