By carrying out the project, the VET students from the consortium have had the possibility to: - Acquiring work experience, thus enabling them to consolidate their professional competences, broaden their curriculum and put into practice what they have learnt during their training stage, in order to enter the labour market in a more efficient way - Acquiring transversal competences (initiative, autonomy, innovation, teamwork, self-confidence, problem solving...), social competences (flexibility, adaptability...) and intercultural competences (active European citizenship, inclusion, equity, equality, resilience) thus being able to face new challenges and becoming active citizens with values for the future - Improve the ability to learn how to learn, thus fostering initiative, autonomy and lifelong learning - Learning and being able to adapt to other work environments - Learning to be entrepreneurial, exploring business possibilities - Learning about the demands of the European labour market - Improving their language skills for employment in Europe.
The project was requested to meet the need of the VET schools to provide their students with the possibility of extending and improving the quality of their training by doing internships in European companies in order to get in touch with the reality of the single European labour market. After carrying out a SWOT including the whole educational community and taking into account the results of previous projects, it was concluded that the schools needed: -To continue along internationalisation strategies. -To improve the professional development of students, their participation as active citizens in society -To improve students' professional development. -To learn first-hand about the reality of business in order to improve the quality of education. -To include VET students at risk of social exclusion. -To implement the systems of assessment and recognition of qualifications. -To strengthen and expand the international network of educational centres, companies and public authorities. -To foster the EU's linguistic diversity, democratic values and the acquisition of green competences. -To increase the attractiveness of VET by modernising its teaching.
