All the Erasmus+ projects that we manage from the consortium have common objectives that are fundamentally focused on providing opportunities for internalisation to students from our city who mainly belong to groups at risk of exclusion either for reasons of immigration or economic constraints. We also provide knowledge about the meaning of European citizenship and its institutions. In short, to provide the participants with international experiences, to improve their employability and their social integration.
The Consortium is aware of the reality in which the city of Santa Coloma lives and has observed that it meets the requirements to implement an Erasmus+ programme. The main elements such as the situation of the population, the socio-economic and cultural environment and the relational dynamics were some of the driving forces behind the request for this project, such as the growth of young people in the city. The socio-economic environment of our city is the key factor that drives us to apply for Erasmus projects, as it is one of the few ways in which we can provide our students and their families with international educational experiences.
