Background

IES Virgen de las Nieves has a lot of experience in Erasmus + projects, so we know the benefits that the participation of teachers and students means for the improvement of their competences. The project is in line with the internationalisation of our European Development Plan, and following the trend of schools to include these activities in the process of improving the quality of teaching. Based on data obtained in the self-evaluation processes, we have detected a high rate of school failure and dropout in Basic Vocational Training and Intermediate Level Training Cycles, related to student demotivation, which we attribute to a lack of tools for teachers to deal with this problem. We also sought to improve teachers' response to diversity by observing techniques in other parts of Europe. With regard to students, we aimed to raise their academic expectations and improve their competences and professional profile. In both groups, the aim was to improve linguistic competence in languages. The aim was to learn about sustainable energy teaching strategies in other educational systems, and the application of energy saving in educational centres.
