Objectives

The objectives that we wanted to achieve were to improve the professional skills of the VET students of commercial activities and the professional profile of the teachers who were going to participate in the project, continuing with the internationalization of the center, therefore expanding destinations and experiences in the European labor market. Develop linguistic, English, social and intercultural skills, creativity, active citizenship to fight against the climate change and, above all, employability in learning intermediate training cycles of participating students. Also the level of English of the teaching staff and their knowledge of European projects, since the institution aims to improve the quality of Erasmus projects by expanding the number of expert teachers in these projects and their experience to ensure their perpetuity so that this way the number of students who will be involved in European projects is increasing. We wanted the European projects to be established as a particularity of the VET students, so that the students interested in enrolling in these cycles in our center would increase and as a result also the reputation of the center.

Background

The institution decided to present the request to continue developing the internationalization of the center, an objective written in its plan of the center, and to achieve through this internationalization the improvement of the skills of the VET students of the trade branches and more specifically of the cycle of commercial activities, and as a consequence to reduce the level of absenteeism in the average cycles of professional training. We aspired that with the development of this project the whole organization including students and their families, teachers and PAS, would realize the opportunities that mobilities provide to improve the insertion in the labor world of the students of training cycles. Opportunities that are developed before, during and after the project, and of which the same students who have participated in the project spread the word. We are talking about the opportunity to develop their curiosity to learn about another labor market, another culture, another language or languages, the opportunity to overcome prejudice towards others and towards themselves, improving their self-esteem, and the vision of their future. Opportunities from which the teachers and the entire center have also benefited.
