Objectives

The specific objectives were: - Improvement of practical training of participants: Through Erasmus+ internships, which complement the theoretical training acquired at the centre. - Integration of women into professions in the industrial sector: priority was given to applications from women in technological-industrial studies. - The internships form an "integral part" of the participants' vocational training and have led them to obtain their degree: The follow-up of the internship is carried out via our website, allowing the tutor of the centre to evaluate the competences acquired during their internships in the European company and therefore, to validate and approve the Workplace Training module. - Improve language skills: All participants receive mandatory online language preparation (Online Language Support Service) as well as complementary training from the sending centre. The language preparation is personalised for each participant, based on their professional-linguistic profile.

Background

This project is part of a collaboration framework "Shared Training Centre-Company", initiated more than 25 years ago between the business sector (Confebask), the Basque Government Department of Education, and VET Centres (public and private). Mobility consortium that complements the projects developed in the Basque Community (FCT and FP Dual), including collaboration with European companies. In order to cover the general objective of the Erasmus+ priority "Education-Business Alliance", a Consortium was created years ago, formed by the fundamental agents related to student mobility: Education Sector (VET Centres, public and private), Business Sector and Public Administration (Basque Government Department of Education, Provincial Councils). International mobility, the way to help our companies in their internationalisation, is not new for our sending partners. Mobility is one of the fundamental axes in all the Basque VET Plans; and the Centres, under Confebask projects, or under their own projects, make it possible for students and staff to carry out practical placements in other countries.
