Objectives

The short-term objectives of the project are the following: - increase student motivation and reduce school absenteeism in Vocational Training - improve the social, linguistic, technical and technological skills of our students - improve the degree of employability of students, increasing their job prospects not only nationally but also internationally.

Background

The economic data of Mula and surroundings reveal that, in most cases, our students come from families that are at risk of social exclusion. So it is common for them to fail in their studies and/or drop out early. Likewise, we detected a digital and technological gap in the students due to this economic situation, as well as an evident lack of linguistic skills in other languages and social skills to relate to their peers. Likewise, in our center, we detect absenteeism practices that, inevitably, also lead to school failure. For these reasons, it is necessary to look for alternatives to reduce school dropout at all educational levels of the center and specifically in vocational training. In the same way, it is necessary to combat school failure and absenteeism, increase the motivation of our students and improve the inclusiveness of the students in our center, especially those who are at risk of social exclusion. That is why it is necessary to incorporate and continue student mobility programs that promote European values and a new alternative among our VET students.
